Labelled as the “Spring Forward”, Apple sent out a cryptic invitation to press on the morning of Feb 26, 2015 announcing an event on Monday, March 9 2015 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, C.A.
While there is no official word on what will be featured in the event, Industry sources tell that Apple will reveal further details about the Apple Watch which tops the list of its upcoming products. It is also speculated that Tim Cook and Co. could also choose to showcase its other wearable at the event. The other products that could be featured include the updated Apple TV, MacBook Air or the rumoured Apple Car and more.
Announced last September and scheduled to be launch in the month of April of 2015, there is still a lot that is unknown about Apple Watch except for the starting price of $349. The Apple Watch will come in three versions – Sports, Standard and Edition and two sizes mainly 38mm and 42 mm. It is also expected that Apple will finally mention pricing beyond this base price and regarding things like battery life.
Market speculations over the pricing babble that the first two are expected to fall between a range of $349 to $999, the later majorly targets the luxury class and may cost somewhere between $5,999 to $19,999. The Apple Watch will support Apple Pay, fitness tracking, app push notifications and an array of other functions. But it will rely on an iPhone.
It was the spring of 2012 when Apple organised its last event to introduce the third-generation iPad and Apple TV.
