Despite a number of updates since its release last year, iOS 8.2 is taking its toll over iPhone’s battery life for some users. If you are experiencing extra battery drain than usual in your iPhone, here is a quick trick to help you fix the issue.
Following Apple’s Spring Forward media event a couple of weeks back, the company launched few of its much awaited products including Apple Watch, MacBook and more. Along with these, there are a few bug fixes and stability enhancements and some improvements and precise new features to the Health app which seems to be the problem behind the battery life issue.
The solution is to shut the app completely. While the health app and its fitness feature may be beneficial to some but over, the addition of this app is surely invaluable to major chunk of iPhone users. Hence, those who aren’t bothered with this fitness feature can turn off this app and save some battery.
How to Fix iOS 8.2 Battery Life issues on iPhone & iPad:
The following steps will help you shut this app off.
Step 1: Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.[bws_related_posts]
Step 2: Look for Privacy option and tap it.
Step 3: Scroll down for Motion & Fitness and select it.
Step 4: You will now notice an option titled ‘Fitness Tracking’. Tap it ‘Off’ to disable the feature on your iPhone
Note that these steps are applicable to only those iPhone models that have an in-built motion co-processor. Models which include iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
While this method is not entirely the most effective way of saving or extending the battery life on your iPhone, but it will surely help you cut off some needless battery drain on your iPhone.
