PhiComm to Enter India with 4G LTE Enabled Passion 660 on June 3

So After those chinese smartphone companies like Meizu and Xiaomi, another Chinese Smartphone maker based out of Shanghai is making a play for the Indian Market. This Shanghai-Based Smartphone company PhiComm is all set to launch its range of Smartphones in the Country, and it’ll add to the list of the Chinese smartphone brands who are looking to get a market share in this vast Indian market. This time they are launching Passion 660 Smartphone on June 3rd in a Press event in New Delhi.

Unlike Xiaomi or OnePlus, PhiComm is not a big brand in China, as it holds less than 1 percent of the smartphone market there but they have some big plans for India. PhiComm is looking to setup some research development unit and a local data center in India in the next few years and they are looking forward to manufacture mobile phones in India (Make in India). Their R&D unit would be completed by the end of this year.

PhiComm is going to launch its first smartphone in India named PhiComm Passion 660(also known as PhiComm P660 in China) and the launch date being June 3rd. It’ll be company’s first 4G LTE smartphone that flaunts a premium magnesium alloy build. It comes up with 5.2-inch full HD Display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM with 32GB of Internal storage. It’s a Dual SIM Device which will run Android 4.4 Kitkat and have a microSD Card slot for external storage. It’s Camera being 13MP Rear facing and 5MP Front facing. And Lastly it’ll be coming up with a battery pack of 2300 mAh.

PhiComm isn’t a new name in the smartphone industry as it has been an OEM (Original Equipment Maker) for several other brands worldwide. With these specifications, PhiComm’s Passion 660 will directly compete with the Xiaomi’s Mi4i as the former one seems to be priced between INR 8000-10000.
