According to recent online leaks, OnePlus is working on expanding their Smartphone lineup by introducing a mid range Android Smartphone named allegedly named the OnePlus X that will redefine the mid range Smartphone segment.
Earlier, OnePlus CEO Carl Pei had confirmed that OnePlus would be expanding their Smartphone lineup by introducing more budget friendly devices. Even though not much is officially known, we do now have some leaks from trusted sources on what to expect from the upcoming OnePlus X Android Smartphone.

OnePlus X Renders leak; shows Dual-Camera Setup for $249
According to the popular tech website GizmoChina, the OnePlus X Android Smartphone will be OnePlus’s first contender in the mid range Android Smartphone segment, and will be priced at around $249. Hardware wise, the device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 615 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 5 inch Full-HD display along with an USB Type-C port.

Following the leaks on the popular Chinese social media website, Weibo, the OnePlus X won’t be following the design footprint of the current generation OnePlus Two Android Smartphone, and will feature an entirely new and unique design. Apart from these, the Smartphone will run on the latest Oxygen OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will also feature a fingerprint sensor along with a dual rear camera setup along with dual speakers too.
Launch of the OnePlus X is expected to happen as soon as on October, and is expected to directly go in competition to the recently announced Motorola Moto X Play Android Smartphone, which sells for around the expected pricing of the OnePlus X, currently.
After all the success of the latest OnePlus One and OnePlus Two Android Smartphones, it is quite obvious for OnePlus to increase their product lineup to increase their Smartphone sales and also to provide tough competition to other popular mainstream Smartphone manufacturers like Samsung, Sony and HTC.
