However, unlike previous years, the Moto G 3rd gen (Moto G3) will be receiving tough competition from other Smartphone manufacturers like Xiaomi and YU, who have been constantly winning hearts in the budget Smartphones category. With the increase in competition, is the third generation Moto G Android Smartphone still the best that money can buy?
That’s what we are going to find out in today’s review of the Motorola Moto G3 Android Smartphone.
Motorola Moto G 3rd generation smartphone Review:
Unlike the first and second generation of Moto G devices, this year, Motorola has brought in a new design for the Moto G3, and it looks impressive and fresh to say the least. It is still made out of plastic, with a textured plastic rear panel and has a dimple in the back as well.
The display housed in the device is still a 5 inch 720p HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 410 chipset that is 64 bit enabled, has either 8 or 16 GB of internal storage space along with an external SD card slot that can help you expand your storage up to an additional 32 GB. The battery unit provided, is a 2470mAh battery.
There are some major improvements in the camera department as well. The Moto G3 now features a 13 MP primary camera, that according to Motorola, features the same optics as found in the Nexus 6 Android Smartphone. The secondary front facing camera provided is of 5 MP resolution.[bws_related_posts]
The amount of RAM available in the device is dependent of the internal storage option you opt to go for. The Motorola Moto G3 with 8 GB internal storage features 1 GB of RAM, whereas the Moto G3 with 16 GB of internal storage space has 2 GB of RAM.
Moreover, the body of the Moto G3 is water resistant up to a meter deep for 30 minutes, provided the rear panel of the device is sealed properly as recommended. Connectivity wise, the Moto G3 supports 4G LTE and comes with the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop software.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the 8 GB variant with 1 GB of RAM will cost you INR 11,999 whereas the 16 GB variant that provides you with 2 GB of RAM is priced at INR 12,999.
The Moto G 3rd gen, similar to the earlier generation Smartphones under the Moto G series, is indeed one of the best Android Smartphone you can buy, especially considering the amount of money you actually spend in buying it.
Therefore, if your budget is closely rounded around that of the Moto G3, then you should surely go for it without even having a doubt about it.
