And Here’s comes an amazing news! Netflix Finally arrives in India. Netflix, which is an online video-on-demand service is offering us with 3 different plans starting from INR 500 per month.
There are 3 Plans; Basic, Standard and Premium, Priced at INR 500, 650 and 800 per month respectively. Netflix Users are provided with a first month free trial post which they will have to pay to continue using their services.
In the Basic Plan, There is no HD available and a video can be watched only on one single screen at a time. Users of Basic plan will be entailed to unlimited access to movies and TV Shows which they can watch on a TV, Laptop, Smartphone or a tablet.
In the Standard Plan, Users will get access to HD Prints along with that they would be able to watch shows on two different screens simultaneously. Premium Plan offers its users to watch Ultra HD Prints (4K) and let them watch it on 4 different screens simultaneously. As mentioned before, Every user will be entailed to get first month free and will be able to cancel the subscription at any time.
Netflix Subscription Indian Prices are almost the same as of the United States. The One Screen Basic Plan in US is priced at $7.99 ( Approx INR 533 ) , Two Screens Standard Plan is priced at $9.99 (INR 666 approx) and 4 screens premium plan is priced at $11.99 ( Approx INR 800 ). US Users also gets first month free when they subscribe.
Also, For those who are worried about their data usage with Netflix, The company said that movies or other TV Shows will be consuming upto 1GB Per hour for Basic Plan according to the time that movie or the show takes to finish. Standard Plan will take upto 3GB per hour for HD plays and upto 7GB for 4K plays in the Premium Plan.
Netflix is in over 70 Million homes worldwide, people have watched over 12 Billion hours of Netflix Video in Q4 2015. Netflix users will have an access to all the popular shows like Marco Polo, Jessica Jones, Daredevil etc and also offers Indian contest like Movies, TV Shows like Piku, Hate Story and other Indian Movies.
In India, Netflix will be competing with its competitors like Hooq which was launched for INR 199 per month, Star’s Hotstar, Ogle, Ditto TV, Big Flix, Spuul and others..
