Qualcomm is all set to launch their new processor, the successor to the Snapdragon 835, the 836 SoC and Samsung is set to power the upcoming version of their Note series with it later this year. This is in keeping with the tradition that was started by Galaxy 8/8+, which debuted using the Snapdragon 835. Following it will Google’s Pixel 2 and 2 XL, and LG V30. As per Playfulroid, the new chipset is all set to feature a 2.5GHz octa-core processor, with the GPU working at 740MHz.
However, there is a bit of bad news for Samsung lovers who are not part of the US market. The handsets powered by the new chipset will be sold by Samsung only in the US market. For the rest of the world, Samsung will be using the ones powered by Exnos 8895.
The new Galaxy Note 8 is set to be launched around August this year, and is tipped to be much better and bigger than the Galaxy S8+. A big release is on the cards for Samsung mobiles, and it is quite evident from the marketing plans they have for the Note 8. The Note 8 will reportedly feature a huge 6.3” screen, slightly bigger than the 6.2” screen which the S8+ had. And the new chipset in the form of the Snapdragon 836 SoC is definitely going to help its case in becoming the better of the two. A few images taken by the Note 8 was also posted online some time back, which also suggests that the new smartphone is going to feature a dual rear camera. However, this is speculation at this point but if it pans out to be true, the Note 8 is definitely going to be the bail-out phone for Samsung whose popularity had dipped considerably after the Note 7 fiasco.
