Send to is a beautiful feature that helps any user to send anything from one location to other locations inside or out your machine. You can also add something i.e. Google Drive to this menu so that you can send any file or folder to there. But if there is any problem and you want to disable this Send to folder from your right click context menu of Windows 7 and Windows 8, you can easily do so. The most interesting thing that you can do it without taking the help of any third party tool.
Here is a Registry tweak what will help you to turn off this folder that is almost a default folder for any Windows computer. You know that Registry Editor is a built-in feature and you can take the full control over your entire PC. You just need to change the default value so that you can also change or turn on or off some feature inside your PC. For example, you can change the number of tile rows in Windows 8 metro screen.
After disabling this feature from your right click context menu, anybody will not get this folder any more. But don’t worry; you can restore this option again.
Disable Send to option from context menu :-
[Note:- Don’t forget to take a backup of your Registry files before starting this trick.]
As I have told you that today I will show you this trick with the help of Registry Editor, the first thing is to do to open your Registry Editor (Press Win + R >> type regedit and hit enter.)
Navigate to the following options.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObject\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\SendTo
Double click on the Default file inside SendTo option and remove the value. (Make a copy of that code before removing.)
After that you cannot find your Send to option in your right click context menu.
How to restore this option again?
Just navigate to that above mentioned area and put that same value and save your file.
That’s all!
