You know that bit.ly is a popular and mostly used URL shortener. Other than goo.gl, everyone chooses bit.ly for shorting their URL(s). you know that instead of using a long URL (such like http://www.exampledomain.com/(a long code)/category/article-title) you can make short it by making use of bitl.ly or any other tool when you will go to share that URL.
Bit.ly shorts any URL in just 7 words [ignore bit.ly] and it is really easy to remember and easy to share. You can do all this by just creating a free account. Anyway, when you will go to share any URL after shorting by biy.ly, your URL will be shorted in bit.ly domain. But you can easily change this domain since bit.ly offers j.mp and bitly.com instead of bit.ly.
How to change the default bit.ly domain?
This is however very easy and not yet so time spender. To get started with it, go to biy.ly and sign in with your log in details. Then go to Settings page.
Hence, navigate to the ADVANCED tab and choose anyone from the drop down menu under Short Domain.
