If you are a user of Windows 7, you might notice that animated images like .gif images open through Internet Explorer when Windows 8 does that with the help of a .gif image viewer. But sometime when we need to do something with them, IE and that viewer of Windows 8 couldn’t fulfill our demand since they have not so many options/features.
Here, today I am going to bring in a Windows app that lets you do whatever you want with any image. You can call it XnView. Actually XnView works with top 500 image formats including .png, .jpg etc. [Check file formats at here.] You can create slideshow, develop an existing slideshow, manage your bunch of images, edit pictures, convert format in bulk. You can change the brightness, Contrast and other things regarding to color schemes, zoom in or out and so on. It also works as a good screen capturing tool.

You can view an image/multiple images in thumbnail view, full screen view, FlimStrip view, Slideshow with FX, Compare images, Resize image, rotate an image, add effects, create web pages, create video thumbnail gallery, strip of images and more others. Alike them, it can edit metadata, JPEG lossless transformation, batch rename, print module and so on.
XnView in now available for Windows, Mac as well as Linux. I have tried it on Windows 7 32-bit. It works great.
Open GIF image using XnView:
However this is not a tough task. Just open it and navigate to File >> Open. Therefore select the image that you want to open.
Note:- This process works with every format.
Hope it will be useful for you. Consider sharing if you found it good for everyone.
