PDF stands for Portable Document Format, which is really very good from the point of view of security. You can add passwords and it is much difficult to crack that password with or without any software if you are using a strong password.

On the other end, Mac OS X is one of the best operating system that provides different software by default. You can do so many things with iWork, which is the latest update of OS X Mavericks. I have used it and all its components and the experience was excellent.

If you are using OS X, you don’t have to use any kind of third party software since the default PDF viewer would do that for you but you have to enable that option. This is however very easy and not yet much time-consuming to edit PDF file on OS X.

This is a one-line trick. Just open any PDF file on your Mac OS X with the inbuilt PDF viewer and navigate through View >> Show Edit Toolbar. Alternatively, you can use Cmd + Shift + A to do the same.

After that, you will get an additional toolbar on your PDF viewer. Just make use of this toolbar. You can add bubble, crop, and highlight any text, which is belong to your PDF file.

If you want to make any minor change in your PDF file, this inbuilt editor is enough. Nevertheless, if you would like to make some major changes, you will have to take the help of other third party software. It can’t do so for you.
