The Second edition of Powai Tech Meet-up organized by Teamchat, an enterprise chat app witnessed a huge response from the emerging start-ups across the city. Over 100+ developers, product visionaries and entrepreneurs from leading e-commerce companies gathered recently at the Teamchat office in Goregaon to participate in the discussion around ‘Social Shopping THROUGH Smart Messaging’.
The discussion centered on the usage of messaging apps and how messaging can be leveraged by e-commerce companies to make the shopping experience more personalized and intuitive for consumers. Shopping is a social concept by nature, but the lack of the ‘social’ aspect in shopping on e-commerce sites leads to abandoned shopping carts, long purchase cycle and high return rate. At the meet up, the participants discussed the latest trend of ‘Social Shopping’ – a combination of social media and e-commerce, the benefits of Social shopping and how Smart Messaging enables Social Shopping. Teamchat presented the challenges that every e-commerce app is facing today and how companies can leverage Teamchat’s smart messaging solution ‘Ask a Friend’ that will enable users to get opinions in just a click.
