Apple Music Launches in China for $1.57 Per Month

Apple Inc. Launched its Music subscription service, Apple Music in China. Now, Chinese customers can use Apple music services like iMovies and iBooks with subscription packages. Apple is getting help from Chinese filmmakers and music producers to provide their services.

Apple Music is currently active in 200 countries after an announcement in WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference). For Chinese users, the Apple Music subscription will be free of cost for first three months. After three months, this service will be available with the monthly subscription of $1.57 and family subscription pack in which 6 users can use this service is priced for $2.36 per month.

Apple’s aim in Chinese market is to become popular music subscription service. Currently in China, most of the movies and Music services are free to use. Also, Senior vice president of Apple’s Internet Software and service, Mr. Eddy Cue said that “The price of 10 RMB is very affordable for any common Chinese user to enjoy apple music services” .

In china, Apple is already facing challenges from the local music services. Popular Chinese search Engine launched “Baidu Music”, Popular e-commerce giant Alibaba bought Music service company from Xiaomi mobiles and Netease is offering cloud based music service. Mr. Eddy Cue also said to the media that, Apple is going to follow all local rules and laws about music and its rights. Currently, the App Store has been getting larger app downloads from the Chinese users, and Apple Doesn’t want to mess with local laws to miss such large revenue from Chinese market.
