At an event held in Beijing, China today smartphone manufacturer LeEco launched 3 new smartphones namely Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le Max 2.
An interesting thing to note here is that while rumors about the upcoming iPhone 7 shunning the 3.5 mm audio jack have been doing the rounds, LeEco decided to go ahead with the move. All three smartphones are devoid of any audio port and instead make use of the CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) technology to bring you uncompressed audio.
Talking about the specs, all three smartphones boast of interesting and impressive specs.
Starting with the Le 2, the smartphone is powered by a Helio X20 tri-cluster deca-core processer coupled with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of on board storage.
The back sports a 16 MP f/2.0 camera with PDAF while the front unit is an 8 MP snapper. A full HD 5.5 inch screen greets you on the front of the device. A 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging possible through the USB type-C charger is what keeps you going all day. A fingerprint sensor on the back adds an extra layer of security.
Now coming to Le 2 Pro, As the name suggests the Le 2 Pro looks the same as the Le 2 but features some up gradations.
The processor is the Helio X25 deca-core paired with an extra gig of RAM at 4 GB. Storage options include a 32 GB and a 64 GB variant. The camera dept has features some improvements too with a 21 MP snapper on the back. All other features remain the same as on the Le 2.
Coming to the king of the lot, the Le Max 2 is the only device in the recent launch to be powered by a Snapdragon chipset, the Snapdragon 820.
This paired with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB on board storage make for one hell of a device. The screen is a 5.7 incher with a quadHD resolution. You also have a 21 MP IMX230 camera on the back coupled with an 8 MP selfie snapper. A 3,100 mAh battery with quick charging 3.0 keeps the device going.
All the devices run on Android 6.0 with LeEco’s skin on top of it. The prices for the Le 2, Le 2 Pro and the Le Max 2 are 1099, 1499 and 2099 Yuan respectively ( 2099 yuans for the 4 GB variant and 2499 yuans for the 6 GB variant). The devices are up for pre order, sales beginning April 26th.
