LeEco is holding an event on May 3 in Mumbai, India where it is expected to make some great announcements. As per the sources, Company is expected to Redefine the entertainment system on a whole new level and also expected to launch a Made in India Smartphone for Indian Users.
The Company picked Mumbai as being the entertainment capital of India for this time that also get us some hints regarding something big related to content is going to be announced tomorrow. LeEco also hints about the same through its official facebook and twitter page. They hosted a great #Supertainment contest on facebook asking them to replace a word from a movie or a song with #Supertainment and comment on the post.
They also teased a picture which outlines a smartphone and an entertainment chair with LeEco’s New Logo on it. The Picture says, We are the Content Pioneers and also mentions the venue and the date of tomorrow’s launch.
If we talk about their home country China, LeEco has established a name for its extensive content ecosystem making it the largest video streaming companies in the world. Company offers more than 100K TV Episodes, and over 5K Copyrighted Films in China. Their plans for india are not entirely clear on the content providing field but LeEco has partnered with Eros Now for Video-on-Demand (VOD) and YuppTV for TV Content streaming earlier this year.
The company is also planning to replicate its successful ecosystem in India which we can expect to hear at the event. LeEco already have revealed its plans to invest $10 Million in Setting up in-house cloud and content delivery networks (CDN’s) across the country by the end of 2016. This new netowkr would strengthen its CDN network in both mobile and TV segments.
