EaseUS Data Recovery Software Review 2017

Lost your file from the hard drive and want it back now?  Nothing to worry, you have a lot of file recovery tools to do your job. But which one is truly the rely on? Today we find out if the EaseUS data recovery software is one of them. We know that it is a trusted brand that’s been there for so long but we are going to test its performance and interface to find out if this is the best for you.

EaseUS provides their data recovery software in three editions that you can get. The free version limits your data recovery capacity to 2 GB. For beyond that and more, you need the Pro version with emergency bootable media and another Pro version without it.  When we first launch the software, it opens up a wizard that presents you with all the drives and storage media connected to your PC. The user interface looks fine and well-categorized.

After selecting the directory where our lost file was in, we press the scan button. Shortly after that, a quick scan completes scanning the location and shows the result in a window. The results can be sorted and viewed in different settings. We can also search the file with a keyword which is normal. But the immediate scan result and an automatic follow up with the deep scan is what we liked. That is very unique from EaseUS. We found our recently deleted file in the quick scan results itself.

The deep scan took more time as expected and finally showed its findings below the quick scan results area. As one may expect, the results are more complex with deep directories. EaseUS still allows you to choose different file views like thumbnails, etc. Files that were deleted long before or the files that have been overwritten can be easily found here in the deep scan results. Once you are happy with the files found, you can select them for recovery and then press Recover button. It asks you where to save the files and after selecting the location, the files are put there. The image and video files we recovered using both quick scan and deep scan worked fine.

EaseUS works with file systems including FAT (FAT12, FAT16, FAT32), ExFAT, NTFS, NTFS5, ext2, ext3, HFS+ and can recover all kind of files including documents, audio, video, graphics, email, etc. It supports any storage media that your PC can access.

Final thoughts

A recovery software is really essential today especially if you are someone who creates a lot of content. It will save you from a lot of hassles if you lose something valuable accidentally. EaseUS Data Recovery software makes sure to tick all the right boxes when it comes to performance. It is not all that bad with the pricing too. In fact, it is one of the most affordable recovery software you will find which does its job without a hitch. We totally recommend it for anyone who is in need for a data recovery software.
