By default, Windows 7 offers Change Password, Lock Computer, Task Manager, Logoff, Switch User and a Power button and an Ease of Access button in Alt + Ctrl + Del menu screen. But if you want to customize it, for instance you want to eliminate it, you can do it deprived of taking the help of any third party tool.
According to me, this screen is too much accommodating for any user. Suppose, one of your vigorous programs is not responding and for that your computer is gone slowly. And your mouse is also not salaried any more. At such like a situation, you have to open your Task Manager and stop that process from occurring trouble inside your PC. Now, you can open task manager from Alt + Ctrl + Del menu. Isn’t so easy?
But due to any specific reason, if you want to remove those options from that screen, you can take the help of Group Policy Editor that let you customize your screen by trashing them. You can remove only four buttons i.e. Change Password, Lock Computer, Task Manager and Logoff.
You know that Group policy editor is one of those important tools that can control over your entire PC. I don’t know whether there is any software that can do the same thing or not but I always prefer built-in tools instead of using any third party tool. If you are with me, you can easily follow my following step by step guide.
Remove everything from Alt + Ctrl + Del menu :-
Open your group policy editor (Win + R >> type gpedit.msc and hit enter button).
Navigate to the following options.
User Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> System >> Ctrl + Alt + Del options
Here you will get four options. Suppose, you want to the Change Password button. For that, just double click on it and change the settings from Not Configured to Enabled.
Make sure your changes.
That’s all!
