How to Add Any Folder in My Computer [Guides for Windows 7 & 8]

Though there might have various tricks to add any kind of folders in My Computer but today I am going to show you this trick which will be done without taking the help of any third party tool. You know that Windows 7 and Windows 8 are the best Windows Operating System that I have ever used and I think according to different types of people, it is still better than any other operating systems too. Actually, Windows 7 is popular for its outstanding graphics and Windows is popular for its newly added features i.e. Metro UI. Anyway that is a different story when it comes to add any folder in My Computer. You know that, ”My Computer” contains only hard drives and other cloud storages (drives). But if you want to add any folder inside it, you might have to install any third party tool or doing something through Registry Editor (According to some people). But I would like to say that there is no need to be an expert of Registry Editor or install additional software. You can do it without any tool. The option is almost in your PC. You just need to find and use it properly.

How to add any folder in My Computer?

Actually, you can add folder in the place of Network Shortcuts. So, to open it, there are two different methods. First one, Open your Run prompt and type %appdata% and then hit enter. Then navigate to the following arena;

Microsoft\Windows\Network Shortcuts

Second One, go to the following arena;

C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Network Shortcuts

Then create a shortcut here and type the proper location of a folder that you want to add.

Go further and save your changes. Now you can find your folder inside My Computer. That’s it!
