You know that Google Reader is such a great service by Google Inc. that let you read RSS feeds of your favorite blog without any clutter i.e. Ads, Popups etc. But due to some reasons, Google is going to leave this service. I have previously mentioned some alternative to Google Reader previously and today I am going to give you some details about another RSS reader that can be handled right from Windows desktop. This software is smoothly running on Windows 7 as well as Windows 8. And the most interesting news is that you can now download the pro version of this software without spending a cent.

FeedDemon for Windows:
FeedDemon Pro is now available for free and this is one of the best desktop RSS readers. You can easily subscribe and separate feeds in different folders i.e. Daily, Entertainment, News, Health and more others. If you want to import or export all subscribed feeds to a new one, you can do it without any difficulty. Just navigate to File >> Import/Export.
You can also work offline. But you cannot update feeds without internet connection but you can read all stored articles. If you want to unsubscribe to a feed after a pre-defined time, just go to Edit >> Feed Properties >> Advanced.
It also offers real time notification. To activate this feature, go to Tools >> Manage >> FeedDemon Options >> Desktop Alert and set As new articles are received. There are also so many features to set. For example, you can change the sound, optimize this tool for slow internet connection, passwords and so on.
Oh, I just forget it. To subscribe any feed via FeedDemon, go to File >> New Subscription.
Enter the feed url or Keyword or Search Feed and check a preview whether you have entered the correct thing or not.
Then click the Next button and set it up as your wish. That’s all! Now you have subscribed to your favorite feeds. You can also manage your favorite feeds from the Favorite tab. Thanks LifeHacker.
