Kindle is an online Amazon e-reader service which also have constructed a platform to publish a book in a Kindle edition so that it will reach to millions of book readers worldwide. The book after publishing, immediately will be available through popular Kindle app on any Windows and Mac device.
If you are already an Amazon account holder then sign-in to Amazon and navigate to at the bottom of the home page. Under “Make Money with Us” section you will find “Independently Publish with Us” option as shown in the image below.
Then you need to create Kindle Publishing Account either using old Kindle credentials or you can sign up for new account there. Now you will be ready to get started with Kindle Publishing.
Read and Accept the Kindle direct publishing terms of service. Click “add new title” option. Enter your book name, details and category there (upto seven addition keywords). You can also add contributor name there. Add a cover for your book (of course in jpeg or tif/tiff format). Now upload your book file there. Kindle supports Word, Html, Text, Pdf and ePub format and after uploading the file to Kindle, it converts the file to supported Kindle format and check the grammar errors and spellings. You can preview the book after uploading also.
Save it and continue to next step. You can set the territory where to sell the book. Then choose the royalty option for that book. Try to choose 70% royalty option.
That’s it. Save and Publish the book. It will be available to the World via Amazon Kindle within 24-48 hours. Now you are not an author but a man behind a book which may have thousands of readers.
